DINA MISTRY
Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist
Online Self Care and Wellness Sessions
During the current situation I have been diversifying my existing practice as a Clinical Massage Therapist and offering online self care sessions for people working from home. These sessions are for small to large teams, one to ones and consist of safe and accessible self care suggestions: self massage techniques, stretches, simple meditation and group sharing all boosting health, productivity and focus.
I offer advice and easy home care for headaches, back pain, carpel tunnel, sciatica, RSI injuries and more. I would love to offer your team a free session to see if this would be of benefit.
A session typically lasts an hour/hour and a half.
A Zoom call can be set up to answer any questions you may have.

ABOUT ME
Back in 2000 I completed an ITEC diploma in Anatomy, Physiology and Massage. With a small child in tow this gave me the confidence to start practicing on family and friends and a couple of years later, the means to leave behind many years in the restaurant business. After completing an on site massage qualification and growing my business to incorporate this, I found that as nice as my massage was it was not enough to help people in chronic pain. By chance I discovered Jing Advanced Massage Institute in Brighton, now one of the UK's leading massage schools and embarked upon many short courses over the next decade, all aimed at decreasing pain and increasing range of motion. Fusing these techniques into my practice enabled me to help more people with chronic pain conditions. I completed a BTEC level 6 in Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage in 2016, the only degree level course in the country and went on to do a year's diploma in TMJ Therapy (Temporomandibular joint dysfunction) and currently work from my practice in north west London as well as offering a home visiting service. I work with a wide range of people with different lifestyles, addressing all kinds of conditions ranging from sporting injuries to work and posture related stress, tailoring each treatment to the needs of the individual. I am passionate about what i do and strive to offer the very best in massage therapy. For more information or to see how I could help you, get in touch. |
HOW I WORK

MYOFAsCIAL RELEASE

The body’s fascial system is a complex web of connective tissue that runs concurrently from head to toe, enveloping organs and muscles, supporting and allowing freedom of movement when healthy. Injuries, work related, postural and emotional stress cause fascia to become dry and stuck, causing pain and dysfunction.
I use a variety of fascial techniques to address restrictions such as skin rolling, rolfing and cross fibre friction to soften and release thus restoring healthy tissues.

what's involved
.I aim to treat common pain conditions in 1-6 weekly treatments after which maintenance treatments every month, or whatever suits can be applied as part of a health care routine. More complex issues require a longer treatment plan. Sometimes benefits are gained over a period of time, often revealing un addressed symptoms as we go a long.
A consultation involves medical history taking, postural assessment, general lifestyle discussion and an outcome based treatment.
To maximise the benefits, I offer advanced stretches and home care advice.
I work with clients to determine the root cause of pain, rather than just alleviating symptoms and aim to treat imbalances, restoring full function. I am not an advocate of ‘’ no pain no gain’’ and work within a client's pain threshold.
Currently i am offering a 'hands on ' service with a remote rehab element as well as an option for online self care therapy for people working from home.
